Global Assignee Readiness Program
Who prepares executives and employees before an overseas assignment to Canada, the US or Asia-Pacific?
OptiMax Partners Inc. runs the Global Assignee Readiness Program for executives and employees assigned across borders: Korean executives posted to North America, North American managers relocating to Korea or Asia-Pacific, and multinationals sending talent abroad. It covers cultural intelligence, leadership adaptation, communication recalibration and psychological readiness for relocation, delivered through Birkman profiling and Brain-Based Coaching, and is available for individuals, couples and families.
What the program covers
Being technically excellent is not enough when you cross a border. The program gets people effective from the first day of the assignment, not the first year.
- ✦Cultural Intelligence (CQ) assessment and development
- ✦Leadership style adaptation for the host country
- ✦Communication and relationship building across cultures
- ✦Psychological resilience for relocation
- ✦Repatriation coaching for the return transition
Who it is for
Korean executives assigned to North America, North American managers relocating to Korea or Asia-Pacific, and multinationals sending talent across borders, including the spouse and family when they relocate too.
How it works
The program begins before departure with a Birkman profile and a readiness plan, continues through the first months in the host country with coaching, and closes with repatriation support. Companies can enrol one assignee or run it as a standard step for every posting.
Every program is designed and delivered by Natalie Yun, SHRM-SCP, Certified Birkman Consultant and Brain-Based Coaching Certified, with more than 25 years of international HR leadership, in English or Korean.
Ideal for
Korean executives assigned to North America, North American managers relocating to Korea or Asia-Pacific, and multinationals sending talent across borders
Frequently asked questions

- Yes, in Korean or English, matched to the assignee and the host country.
- When should it start?
- Ideally two to three months before departure, with coaching continuing after arrival.
- Does it include repatriation?
- Yes. Return-transition coaching is part of the program.
- Does it cover HR setup for the assignment?
- Contracts, payroll and policy for cross-border postings are handled by Cross-Border HR Setup, which pairs well with this program.
